Abstract
Construction labour productivity (CLP) is a critical determinant of project success, influencing cost, time, and overall efficiency in the construction industry. Despite extensive research, significant productivity variations persist due to diverse influencing factors. This scientometric review analyses the evolution of CLP research using bibliometric techniques to identify key trends, influential authors, prominent publications, and emerging themes. By utilising the Scopus and Web of Science databases, the study maps the intellectual structure of CLP research, employing VOSviewer and Biblioshiny for co-occurrence analysis, citation mapping, and network visualisation. The findings highlight an increasing focus on automation, digitalisation, and sustainable practices as key drivers of productivity enhancement. Additionally, the study identifies research gaps, including the need for interdisciplinary approaches, integration of advanced data analytics, and region-specific labour productivity assessments. The insights will aid researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals in developing strategies to enhance workforce efficiency and address productivity constraints. By synthesising current knowledge, this study provides a roadmap for future research and underscores the value of scientometric tools in advancing CLP.
